Nestled in the heart of the Kootenays, Nelson Brewing is a vibrant, award-winning brewery that is committed to crafting memorable experiences for our customers, team and community. We thrive on a dedication to continuous improvement, and a culture that values hard work and good times.
Our marketing team is growing and we are looking for an organized, outgoing and driven Marketing Assistant to help bridge the gap between strategy and on-the-ground execution.
The ideal candidate will have a background in marketing, communication, and/or social media. Strong organizational and time management skills are a must for success in this role. The Marketing Assistant is integral to keeping the marketing department running smoothly and efficiently. They will work across all departments within the brewery to help translate brand strategy into polished materials, ensuring consistency, accuracy and attention to detail. This fast-paced position blends design and creative work with organization and administration, and is key to adding energy and fun to our marketing efforts.

Nelson Brewing Company is one of British Columbia’s longest-running craft breweries, with deep roots in the Kootenays and a strong reputation for quality, consistency, and creativity. We’re looking for a Brewer / Cellar Hand who is passionate about their craft and excited to work hands-on with an experienced production team.
This role is ideal for someone who loves the art and science of brewing, takes pride in clean processes and great beer, and wants to grow within a collaborative, values-driven brewery.
Duties and responsibilities
- Live out and support the company’s values, mission, and vision
- Assist with the brewing process from start to finish, including milling, mashing, lautering, boiling, and cooling
- Clean and sanitize brewing equipment and work areas to maintain a safe, hygienic environment
- Perform cellar operations including fermentation monitoring, yeast management, and transferring beer between tanks
- Operate a centrifuge and carbonate beer
- Assist with packaging operations, including kegging and canning
- Follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols to maintain quality control and regulatory compliance
- Participate in sensory evaluation and quality assurance testing
- Maintain accurate brewing and cellar records using production logs and inventory software (Ekos)
- Collaborate with the production team to troubleshoot issues and continuously improve processes
- Contribute to a culture of teamwork, inclusivity, and innovation
Qualifications
- Strong passion for and knowledge of the craft beer industry
- Previous brewing experience in a commercial brewery
- Formal brewing education preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and cleanliness
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings
- Exceptional organizational and record-keeping skills

Job purpose/Summary
Nelson Brewing Company is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Packaging Operator to help us move beer from tank to customer with precision and pride. As part of one of British Columbia’s oldest and steadily growing craft breweries, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our beer leaves the brewery at the highest standard of quality and efficiency.
This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of their work, and values being part of a strong, supportive team.
Duties and responsibilities
- Live out the company mission, vision, and values
- Operate canning equipment with care and precision
- Operate kegging equipment with care and precision
- Move, organize, and manage keg inventory
- Clean and sanitize tanks, packaging equipment, packaging hall, and warehouse
- Prepare packaging materials and supplies
- Enter data into brewery management software
- Coordinate and communicate shipments to and from the brewery
- Deliver kegs to local customers as required
- Maintain a safe, positive, and quality-focused work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Passion for the craft beer industry
- Strong work ethic and commitment to excellence
- High attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new systems
- Previous packaging or warehouse experience (an asset)
- Valid BC Driver’s License
